To check the level of the printer ink, tap the ink drop icon on the access table to check the level of the ink. A drop-shaped icon of ink is located on the control panel on most touchscreen printers. After the printer has been activated, tap the icon and view the ink levels.
Check Printer Ink using the Windows device HP Printer Assistant Tool
- Click the Windows Start or Windows icon.
- Fill in the Start Search field in Devices and Printers.
- Select from the search results the Devices and Printers option.
- Wait until you see the computer-connected printer list.
- Click on the printer to control the ink levels.
- Locate the ink and toner levels on the bottom of the status area.
- Expand the register and view the estimated cartridge ink levels.
- Double-click on the printer icon for additional printer information.

To check ink level of the printer, first turn on the Mac computer and then click the Apple icon. Access the Menu Bar System Preferences option. Click the option for Print & Fax, Printers & Scanners, or Print & Scan. Select from the list the HP printer you are using. Expand the menu Options & Supplies and click on the Supplies tab. Both cartridges show the ink levels on the screen.
USING HP SURE SUPPLY
Open your system browser and type HP Sure Supply in the address bar. If you already have one, click Search and on the Results Screen, sign in using your account and other login credentials. Go to the end of the page and click on the Create Account button if there are no login details available.
Type your personal information, set a new password and click the’ I accept the Terms & User Agreements ‘ checkbox on the next page. Access the Home menu My Account window. Click on Add Printer and type in a Printer Model Box the name of your HP printer with the model number. Wait for a while and a list of printer models will appear and the process of checking ink is continued.
Locate your printer from the list and select the Add to List option to open the window that was added to your printer. Now click Shop to buy new ink supplies or add an additional printer. HP SureSupply monitors the ink pad and notifies you of low ink levels.

Get and install HP Smart from the Windows Store. After the installation process is complete, start the app and register your printer with the necessary credentials. Go to the Ink menu on the home screen. To open the Ink window, click View Ink levels or Estimated Ink Levels. Replace the ink cartridges if the ink is low.
EPSON
Open your computer’s internet browser. Click Print to navigate to the File menu. To access the Epson printer settings and controls, select the Properties or Preferences button. Access the Maintenance tab and select the Epson Status Monitor icon. The graphic on the ink level of the printer appears in the Ink Levels menu. Click OK to leave Epson Status Monitor and click Cancel to finish the dialog box for maintenance to conclude the process of checking ink levels for the printer.
