Solving HP Printing Issues after a Windows 10 Upgrade (July 2020 update)
Windows 10 admins hit with printer issues after installing Microsoft’s latest Windows security update.
“You can avoid the issue by connecting a powered-on USB printer before starting Windows,” Microsoft said in its support note.
Upgrading to Windows 10 will carry a slew of problems you’ve never had to contend with before, such as bugs, widespread and regular incompatibility, and relative sluggishness when you come across using Windows 7. By now you’ve already gotten accustomed to the poor quality of the new Microsoft OS. Nevertheless, the OS’ troublesome nature will spill over into other fields, such as your HP printer working.
Windows 10 printing issues are notorious for having serious work in the way, but a few troubleshooting measures can be used to fix most of these. Below are a few steps that will help you solve problems with HP printing in Windows 10.
Make sure that all updates to Windows are installed
If you have downloaded and installed an update on your device, make sure it is done. This includes software and drivers which are critical when dealing with a problem with a printer. If an update fails to install or download it will appear in your printer as technical issues. See that all critical drivers have been modified, enabling the connected devices to operate seamlessly with the PC.
Test the service at Print Spooler

If the service shows up as ON but doesn’t operate, attempt to stop and restart it.
